Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she has the record of being given 10/10 points during an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics trainer who would become Comaneci's coach later in life she discovered her when she was six. She first competed in the junior national championships in 1969 placing 13th and she won the competition in 1970. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she won three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she was the all-around junior champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior, in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion winning four gold medals as well as one silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman in history to complete a reverse double salto, which is a dismount from the uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she started appearing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. She started her career performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows which included stage performances.
